At St. Mary Mother of the Church, our Jr High EDGE program is a youth ministry community where teens are invited to encounter Christ in a real and transformative way. Rooted in the life and mission of the Catholic Church, our mission is to guide young people closer to Jesus through dynamic teaching, relational ministry, and powerful experiences of prayer and the sacraments.
We gather most Sunday evenings for EDGE Nights, following the Life Teen format of Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send — a structure inspired by the rhythm of the Catholic Mass. These nights challenge teens to go deeper in their faith and, most importantly, strengthen their relationship with God. In addition to EDGE Nights, we also offer continued faith formation on Thursday evenings called ECHO nights. These sessions are designed for teens who want to explore the topics from Sunday EDGE nights more deeply and grow in their understanding of the richness of our Catholic faith. ECHO nights are held in the youth room located in the Early Learning Center building.
We welcome all Jr. high school students in grades 6th-8th to join us. We can’t wait to walk this journey with you, growing in faith, friendship, and love for Christ and His Church.
